I have a 96 Savage with a Supertrapp exhust and I rejetted the carb and modified the air cleaner. I also have a 98 750 Ace Shadow. Up to about 50 mph the seem about even in acceleration after 50 mph the Shadow wins hands down. However I didn't buy either bike to drag race. When it comes to just riding (and don't get me wrong I think the Savage is a great bike) the Honda is by far the bike for me. It is a much more comfortable more stable bike to ride on the highways or the back roads. I can honestly say that I got far more compliments on the Ace than I have on the Savage. You were looking for a comparision and I feel that owning both bikes I could give you my honest opinion and that's what I have done. John
